How Aggies are Feeding the Future
UC Davis is at the forefront of address global food security. Come hear about cutting-edge research and participate in the discussion.
The event will include brief, inspiring talks about how students can get involved, how fruit and vegetable research impacts poverty, and how economic tools can make a difference for smallholder farmers.
UC Davis representatives will be speaking from Peace Corps and the two Collaborative Research Support Programs (CRSPs) managed on campus: Horticulture CRSP and BASIS CRSP. All three of these programs are involved in Feed the Future, the U.S. government’s global hunger and food security initiative that helps countries transform their agricultural sectors.
Following the presentations, Peace Corps will host a reception with campus groups and local nonprofit organizations that are working toward a more sustainable future.
