This presentation by Elizabeth Mitcham of the Horticulture Innovation Lab describes why horticulture is important for international agricultural development. These reasons include increased nutritional status, food security, income generation, and gender equity. It also describes research needs in this field, the current focus of the Horticulture Innovation Lab, and the Horticulture Innovation Lab's various technologies and projects.
