As the program's chief of party in Guinea, Mamadou Alpha Thiam worked as the center manager at the Horticulture Innovation Lab's Horticulture Training and Services Center in Guinea.

Mamadou is an international development professional with 8 years of experience. Previously he served as an assistant in the Farmer-to-Farmer Program for Agriculture Education and Training with Winrock International. He also worked as the AVENIR Program Manager in youth empowerment and enterpreneurship under the Feed The Future Guinea Agricultural Services program in Guinea.

He hold a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
