Serge Ndayitabi is a project manager for Agribusiness Associates and works on the the Horticulture Innovation Lab project, Reducing Postharvest Losses in Rwanda.

Ndayitabi is a young agriculturist with experience in extension and farmer organization capacity building. For the past 13 years, he has worked for the local government and various non-governmental organizations in Rwanda.

As a project manager for Agribusiness Associates, he coordinates with various actors in the agricultural value chain. He sees solutions for agriculture in not only rocket science-level technologies, but also affordable technologies – like the CoolBot and chimney solar dryer. He possesses extensive knowledge of various agronomic practices and has experience working with farmers who are producing chili, tomato, plantains and French beans.

Ndayitabi is fluent in five languages including Lingala and Swahili. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a focus in soil science from the University of Rwanda.


What inspires me:
Waking up in the morning hearing the latest speech of President Paul Kagame, talking about self resilience.
