Cultivating Equity: Building International Partnerships for Sustainable Horticulture and Food Systems Research

Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Horticulture receives a 2023-24 Seed Grant for International Activities, from UC Davis Global Affairs and the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. 

The project, "Cultivating Equity: Building International Partnerships for Sustainable Horticulture and Food Systems Research," will be led by Dr. Erin McGuire, Director of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Horticulture, and 2023-24 Chancellor’s Award for International Engagement recipient Ermias Kebreab, Associate Dean, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and Director, World Food Center. This project aims to forge global partnerships to support the Sustainable Development Goals by addressing barriers to fruit and vegetable consumption, particularly affecting vulnerable populations. This research will especially support women, through food systems strengthening to improve both nutrition and income.
