Description
This 12-minute video follows cucumbers grown by Cambodian farmers and sold to collectors and then resold through the wholesale markets. It demonstrates how much value of the cucumber is lost to the farmer as it changes hands several times over until it is sold in a retail market at almost seven times the price originally paid by the collector to the farmer. This is part of the Horticulture Innovation Lab project "Creating a market niche for 'food-safe' vegetables in Cambodia and Vietnam."
