Description

Conserving soil, water, labor, and inputs, increasing yields, and connecting farmers to markets is the focus of the project discussed in this five-minute lightning talk. This presentation shares photos, updates, and findings from the project.

Some of the findings about conservation agriculture highlighted in the presentation include lower time to irrigate, lower soil erosion, and lower incidence of weeds. The presentation also touches on connecting farmers to market, through innovative marketing, postharvest technology, and cooperative purchasing.

This presentation was given at the 2016 Horticulture Innovation Lab annual meeting in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
