Luis Andrés Arévalo Rodríguez is a researcher and coordinator of the Applied Entomology Laboratory of the Center for Agricultural and Food Studies at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala.

He is a Forestry Engineer and has a postgraduate degree in Plant Protection in International Trade. He has participated in several research and technology transfer programs with small and medium scale producers from different value chains.

His areas of professional interest are agricultural entomology and acarology, integrated pest management, precision agriculture and remote sensing.
