A new $18.75 million grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development will boost international fruit and vegetable research led by the University of California, Davis, extending the Horticulture Innovation Lab research program for five more years.

In 2014, the program originally called "Horticulture Collaborative Research Support Program (Hort CRSP)" was renamed "Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Horticulture" (Horticulture Innovation Lab, for short).

Intent on helping the world’s poorest people break out of a persistent cycle of poverty by producing and marketing high-value crops, the U.S. Agency for International Development has selected UC Davis to lead a new $15 million, five-year global Horticulture Collaborative Research Support Program.

Horticulture CRSP Launch

The Horticulture CRSP team held a seminar on the UC Davis campus to officially launch the Horticulture Collaborative Research Support Program. Dr. Larry Paulson and Jim Yazman from USAID in Washington, D.C.  participated in the launch and Dr.
