The Horticulture Innovation Lab and the Royal University of Agriculture presented a Symposium on Horticultural Science on March 18, 2016, at the RUA campus in Phnom Penh.
An agenda for the symposium is online in English and in Khmer. Simultaneous translation was provided during the meeting. ការបកប្រែនឹងត្រូវបានផ្តល់។
The symposium included lectures about horticultural research, presented by an array of scientists from around the world, including Cambodian faculty. The day began with brief welcome speeches from Prof. Dr. Ngo Bunthan, rector of the Royal University of Agriculture, and Elizabeth Mitcham, director of the Horticulture Innovation Lab.

The Horticulture Innovation Lab builds international partnerships for fruit and vegetable research that improves livelihoods in developing countries. The program is led by UC Davis, with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development, as part of the U.S. government's Feed the Future initiative.
The Horticulture Innovation Lab's network is built of many partnerships with universities, government agencies, and NGOs. In Cambodia, the Horticulture Innovation Lab has valuable partnerships with the Royal University of Agriculture, to advance horticultural innovations and support the needs of smallholder farmers who grow fruits and vegetables. Other Horticulture Innovation Lab meetings in Cambodia
Earlier the same week, the Horticulture Innovation Lab hosted a series of meetings in Siem Reap as part of its annual meeting. These events focus on horticultural development activities in the region, updates from Horticulture Innovaiton Lab projects, a tour of local projects, and private meetings for the program's International Advisory Board and funded partners.
