Horticulture postharvest in Bangladesh

Description

This 90-second video shares photos and short videos highlighting the Horticulture Innovation Lab project examining nutrition impacts of horticultural innovations in Bangladesh. The Horticulture Innovation Lab team is testing horticultural technologies with farmers in Bangladesh. The technologies tested will include an efficient solar dryer for drying fruits, vegetables and fish; a low-cost cool room to preserve fresh produce; and a floating garden design that grows vegetables without harming fish in ponds. The project will measure the effects of using these new technologies in relation to the farmers' income, nutrition, and household health.

This video debuted at the 2018 Horticulture Innovation Lab annual meeting in Kigali, Rwanda.
