Description

Brenda Dawson of the Horticulture Innovation Lab shared this handout as part of a presentation at the program's 2013 annual meeting focused on promoting the program's work. The fact sheet covers the basics of popular news writing to convey "the story" of scientific research projects, including identifying an audience, when your work becomes news and other components of popular writing. The sheet also includes tips for photographing your project, along with highlights from USAID's imagery guidelines and requirements for branding related to funding from the program.
