Mr. Bishwakarma holds PhD degree in Development Studies from Agriculture and Forestry University, M.Sc. in Agriculture (Horticulture) and B.Sc. Agriculture from Tirbhuban University, Nepal. Mr. Bishwakarma started his professional career as a Research Officer at the Directorate of Research and Extension, Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Chitwan Nepal.  From 2008 to 2022 Mr. Bishwakarma worked with several bilateral and multilateral development projects related to agricultural technology development and extension, agricultural service system development, value chain development and agriculture sector governance.  Mr. Bishwakarma provided Technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development for agricultural service system development at local levels and worked as a technology extension specialist in the Value Chain Development of fruit and Vegetables project in Nepal implemented by UNDP and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.  Mr. Bishwakarma has engaged in designing agricultural policies and programme of local governments and province and federal level.  During this period, he has worked with diverse actors including farmers, government agricultural research and extension agencies at local, province and federal levels, civil society actors, private sectors, academia and development partners. To expand their understanding and skill he has received several short-term trainings in country and outside the country, has actively participated in national and international scientific seminars and workshops. Mr. Bishwakarma has published a dozen of resource booklets, training manuals and, reference books related to sustainable agricultural practices, decentralized agriculture services and agricultural technologies. He has published nine research articles in national and international peer review journals.
