Seven ways that gender matters is the subject of this five-minute lesson given by Janelle Larson of Pennsylvania State University. Larson's project is a collaboration with the Pan-American Agricultural School, Zamorano and seeks to understand how the horticulture value chain can support equity and empowerment for women in Western Honduras. She then identifies seven ways that gender matters to: agriculture, household decision-making, dietary diversity, food security, institutions, men, and development.
