The focus of this presentation is an overview of Horticulture Innovation Lab activities in Central America as of 2014. It was delivered by Elizabeth Mitcham, director of the Horticulture Innovation Lab.

This presentation discusses why horticulture is important and describes the Horticulture Innovation Lab Regional Center at Zamorano, seven ongoing projects and seven completed projects in Central America. It also highlights other activities in Central America including postharvest training for smallholder horticulturalists and findings from a regional horticulture assessment.

This presentation was part of the Horticulture Innovation Lab 2014 Annual Meeting, which took place March 17-21, 2014 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
